Job summary

The Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking a Cost Analyst at our Bristol, IN location. You will analyze product and project costs, develop cost estimates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support pricing decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting or BOM-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles.
• Solid cost systems background.

Responsibilities

• Maintain system pricing for products, models, and options.
• Analyze product and project costs to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Develop and maintain cost estimates for new and existing products, models, options, and projects to support pricing and profitability decisions.
• Compare estimated costs to actual production costs, investigate variances, and identify the root causes of cost changes.
• Evaluate the impact of changes in material and labor costs on product pricing, margins, and overall profitability.
• Identify waste, inefficiencies, and other opportunities to improve manufacturing costs and profitability.
• Prepare detailed cost analysis and management reports that summarize cost drivers, pricing impacts, profitability, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate costs, support pricing decisions, and evaluate the financial impact of products and projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of cost analyses, assumptions, findings, and recommendations.
• Conduct or assist with audits of current and historical projects to validate costs and identify discrepancies or improvement opportunities.

What you'll do:

What you need to be successful:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of accounting or Bill of Materials-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles
