Job summary

True Anomaly, a Denver-area aerospace company, seeks a Cost Accounting Manager to own nonlabor program costs and inventory accounting across the business. You will partner with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to design scalable cost data processes and ensure GAAP compliance in a fast-paced hybrid work environment near Denver, CO or Long Beach, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance; 5-11 years of accounting experience with a focus on project/cost/program accounting.
• CPA or CMA a plus.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with cost accounting and project-based structures.
• Experience owning inventory accounting and working with supply chain and operations.
• Knowledge of government contract accounting, FAR/CAS, and DCAA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own all nonlabor program costs across systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Partner with business and finance teams to track, validate, and report costs through the project lifecycle.
• Perform cost variance analysis and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support budgets, EACs, and cost forecasts.
• Own inventory accounting end-to-end and ensure controls with Supply Chain and Operations.
• Enforce inventory controls and reconciliation procedures across programs and facilities.
• Ensure proper accounting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods per GAAP.
• Design scalable cost accounting processes and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline cost flows and improve close cycle time.
• Support monthly financial statements, program reporting, and annual audit.
• Support CAS compliance and DCAA readiness; liaise with cross-functional teams.
