Job summary

Saronic Technologies Inc. is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to lead standard costing, product costing, and inventory valuation within a fast-growing manufacturing environment.

You will own month-end close for inventory and cost accounting, analyze variances, and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting. You will partner with Manufacturing Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Production, and Engineering to drive data integrity across PMS, MES, and ERP, while building scalable, auditable processes

Qualifications

• 7-9 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with standard costing, including cost roll-ups, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Strong grasp of GAAP and cost accounting principles for inventory and COGS.
• Experience owning month-end close activities for inventory and cost accounting.
• Understanding of data flows between production, MES, and ERP systems (e.g., PMS, MES, ERP).
• Extremely strong Excel skills, especially advanced financial modeling and analytical techniques.
• Ability to streamline and automate complex processes.
• Excellent analytical and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication with cross-functional and senior stakeholders.
• NetSuite experience (preferred) or other accounting ERP experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Own the standard costing process and maintain cost accounting standards in the ERP.
• Own inventory valuation and related GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Own the cost accounting close, including reconciliations and journals.
• Analyze variances (price, usage, labor, overhead, yield) and explain discrepancies to leadership.
• Ensure ERP integrity across PMS, MES, and ERP systems through audits and collaboration with Inventory Control and Production.
• Partner with Manufacturing Finance and Supply Chain Finance on overhead pools, raw material costs, and production decisions.
• Collaborate with production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supply Chain to understand variances and improve inventory data flow.
• Define and implement standards and controls for cost accounting and audit readiness.
• Drive process improvements and automation across production, cost accounting, and supply chain.
• Support decision-making with financial analysis of manufacturing costs and inventories.
• Assist audits and apply sound technical accounting in inventory and cost matters.
• Anticipate risks to cost accuracy and take decisive action when needed.
