Job summary

LHH is seeking an Inventory & Revenue Accounting Manager in New York to lead inventory and cost accounting within a highly visible finance function.

Responsibilities include month-end close, inventory valuation, and gross margin reporting, with broad cross-functional partnership across Supply Chain, Operations, Merchandising and FP&A. Strong US GAAP knowledge and prior experience in consumer products or retail are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience in retail/wholesale/consumer products/manufacturing or distribution.
  • Background in inventory and cost accounting.
  • ERP system experience is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules.
  • Partner cross-functionally to resolve inventory and operational accounting issues.
  • Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
  • Support audits, system enhancements, and special projects.
  • Mentor and review the work of junior accounting staff.

A growing consumer products organization is seeking an Inventory & Revenue Accounting Manager to play a key role in financial reporting, inventory accounting, and gross margin analysis. This is a highly visible position that partners with Supply Chain, Operations, Merchandising, and FP&A while helping drive process improvements across the accounting function.


What You\'ll Do



  • Lead month-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting

What We\'re Looking For

Preferred Qualifications



  • Public accounting or Big 4 experience

  • Experience with inventory-intensive businesses

  • Exposure to system implementations or process improvement initiatives
