Job summary

A global manufacturing company in New Jersey is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to perform cost analysis and improve processes. With a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in manufacturing cost accounting, you will manage inventory controls and provide recommendations. Qualifications

• 5+ years of Cost Accounting experience within a Manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of supervision experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing variances, overhead absorption, and standard costs.

Responsibilities

• Perform cost and variance analysis for site purchasing and manufacturing operations.
• Calculate and analyze the cost of goods sold (COGS) and product margins.
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Manage and monitor inventory controls and related accounting processes.
• Assist in month-end inventory reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform cost and variance analysis for site purchasing and manufacturing operations
• Calculate and analyze the cost of goods sold (COGS) and product margins
• Analyze manufacturing costs and identify trends, inefficiencies, and outliers
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve processes and reduce costs
• Manage and monitor inventory controls and related accounting processes
• Assist in month-end inventory reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of Cost Accounting experience within a Manufacturing environment
• 2+ years of supervision experience
• Understanding of manufacturing variances, overhead absorption, and standard costs

PREFERENCES:

• CPA
• Experience building out Cost function from the ground-up
