Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 0-2+ years of accounting, financial analysis, project accounting, or related financial reporting roles.
• Experience in a project-based environment is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of financial data and present findings clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration with finance and operational teams.
• Experience with ERP and project accounting software is preferred.
• Interest in utilizing technology, AI, and automation to improve reporting and financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform job cost analysis across multiple active projects.
• Prepare, maintain, and analyze weekly and monthly WIP schedules.
• Reconcile project costs and ensure expenses are accurately allocated.
• Monitor labor, material, subcontractor, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Analyze actual project costs versus budgets and estimates, identifying significant variances.
• Track project profitability and assist with cost-to-complete forecasting.
• Support change order tracking and financial impact analysis.
• Develop and distribute project reporting packages for management and operational teams.
• Partner with project leaders to review financial performance and proactively identify risks and opportunities.
• Assist with month-end close activities related to project accounting and cost reporting.
• Leverage AI, automation, and reporting tools to improve visibility, reporting accuracy, and decision-making capabilities.
• Recommend process improvements that enhance reporting efficiency and financial visibility.
