Job summary

IFAB Corp. operates across four metal fabrication facilities in Gastonia, NC. The Cost Accountant will own product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis, partnering with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Production Control to establish standard costs and drive profitability.

This hands-on role requires 3–5 years cost accounting exposure in manufacturing, strong Excel and ERP skills, and willingness to spend time on the shop floor to validate data and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of standard costing, BOMs, routings, work orders, and variance analysis.
• Experience with inventory valuation and cycle counting processes.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot, lookups, and large datasets.
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems.
• Ability to explain financial results to non-financial staff clearly.
• Willingness to spend time on the production floor to validate data.

Responsibilities

• Product costing, BOMs, routings, standard costs across plants.
• Variance analysis and monthly reporting; floor walkthroughs.
• Inventory valuation and month-end close across 4 plants.
• Support budgeting, forecasts, and capital project ROI.
