Job summary

Precision Elite Recruiting is seeking a Cost Accountant to manage inventory control, cost accounting, and financial reporting support. You will ensure accurate product costing, maintain inventory records, and support month-end close in a manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Purchasing, accounting, and operations to monitor costs, improve processes, and uphold internal controls. Strong Excel and ledger skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Two years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
• Knowledge of general ledger functions.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong numerical ability with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with Access and SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory controls and cost accounting activities.
• Support month-end and year-end close with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare management reports and analytics on costs and variances.
• Assist with audits and ensure internal controls.
• Collaborate with Purchasing on price changes and cost monitoring.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts.
• Provide AR assistance as needed.
