Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a skilled Cost Accountant for a pivotal manufacturing finance role in Morristown, NJ. You will own manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis, partnering with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance leadership.

You will influence profitability through data-driven insights, support month-end close, and drive cost-improvement initiatives in a complex manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of accounting experience within manufacturing and costing environments.
• Experience with standard cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience, Oracle or similar manufacturing ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, BOMs, routings, work orders, and overhead absorption.
• Perform inventory reconciliations, cycle count analysis, inventory valuation reviews, and E&O reserve calculations.
• Support month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Analyze manufacturing variances including PPV, labor, material usage, and overhead absorption to identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain product costing, burden rates, cost rolls, and profitability reporting within the ERP system.

Target Compensation: up to $130,000
