Job summary

SGS is seeking a Laboratory Technician for Cosmetics, Personal Care & Household products in New Jersey. You will conduct performance and chemical testing focusing on detergents and cleaning products, plus cosmetics and personal care items as needed.

Work aligns with SOPs, ISO/ASTM standards, and customer protocols to evaluate cleaning performance and product safety. Under general supervision, you will assist in developing methods, maintaining records, ensuring safety, and supporting other lab

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in science or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• 1–3 years in a laboratory/industrial setting with strict safety adherence.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing per SOPs and method validation where required.
• Test against applicable standards (ASTM, ISO, etc.) and customer protocols.
• Develop, write and review test methods and SOPs under supervision.
• Maintain accurate laboratory reports and ensure PPE and safety procedures.
• Assist with calibration, QA/QC checks, and site housekeeping as needed.
