Job summary

MPL Laboratories in Sparta, NJ is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform microbiological analysis of customer products and to conduct testing across cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical products, food and beverages, water and environmental samples. The role involves environmental sampling, media preparation, and equipment validations as needed.

The successful candidate will have a Life Science degree, lab experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Science required.
• Laboratory experience in academic or commercial setting is a plus.
• Excellent oral, written and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, self-motivated and adaptable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological analysis of customer products as assigned.
• Conduct microbiological testing for cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical products, food and beverages, water and environmental samples, sterile medical devices.
• Perform environmental sampling and media preparation, autoclave and HEPA filter validations as needed.
• Carry out routine maintenance on lab equipment and assist with general laboratory duties.
• Support the team with data recording and reporting as required.
