Job summary

L&R Distributors is seeking a Field Merchandiser to service Los Angeles-area retail stores. The role involves maintaining stock, organizing displays, and assisting with store resets using planograms. You will work 6 AM–5 PM with flexible 24 hours weekly and potential to transition to full-time after meeting 30+ hours weekly.

Compensation includes $21.00 per hour, mileage reimbursement, and paid drive time. Part-time benefits include sick time and 401K; full-time benefits available when eligible.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising or retail experience.
• Familiarity with resets, planograms and store footage is a plus.
• Retail sales and inventory control knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient with tablets and smartphones.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Place orders for required inventory according to store guidelines using tablet and scanner (Repsly).
• Service store routes per assigned call frequencies with the District Manager.
• Follow store visit process including merchandising delivery, photos, and task forms.
• Implement planograms and schematics to reset displays per instructions.
• Ensure resets meet L&R standards and timelines.
• Install and adjust shelving and fixtures as needed to align with planograms.
• Process customer returns per guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of promotions and invoicing policies.
• Communicate with store staff after each visit.
• Verify shipments on receipt and check in by store personnel.
• Provide professional communication with store management and staff.
• Conduct store surveys and audits including photos to resolve issues.
• Service additional stores when needed.
