Job summary

L&R Distributors, a premier cosmetics and general goods distributor, seeks a Field Merchandiser to service West to East Coast retailers. This role focuses on stocking, displaying, and refreshing products to meet planograms and retailer standards.

Based in Sacramento, CA, the position offers up to 30 hours weekly with potential transition to full-time after 60 days. Tablet/scanner tools and close collaboration with store teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising or retail experience.
• Familiarity with resets, planograms and store footage is a plus.
• Retail sales and inventory knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to safely use a ladder or step stool to access higher fixtures.
• Frequently lifting up to 50lbs.
• Proficient with tablets and smartphones.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Place orders for inventory using a tablet and scanner (Repsly).
• Service store routes per call frequencies with the District Manager.
• Follow store visit processes, including merchandising delivery and photo documentation.
• Implement planograms and schematics to reset cosmetic displays per instructions.
• Ensure resets meet L&R's standards and timelines.
• Install and adjust shelving, hooks, and fixtures as needed.
• Process returns per returns/reclamation guidelines.
• Stay informed on current promotions, invoicing, exchanges and returns.
• Maintain communication with store staff during visits.
• Verify shipments with store personnel and keep records.
