Job summary

L&R Distributors, Inc. is seeking a Field Merchandiser to service retail stores across multiple Maine locations. The role focuses on stocking, organizing, and displaying products, supporting resets with planograms, and ensuring displays meet company and retailer standards.

The position covers Portland, Falmouth, South Portland, Westbrook, Gorham, and Standish, ME with up to 15 hours weekly. Opportunity to transition to full-time with benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising or retail experience.
• Familiarity with resets, planograms and store footage is a plus.
• Retail sales and inventory control knowledge are a plus.
• Proficient with tablets and smartphones.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to safely use a ladder or step stool to access higher fixtures.
• Ability to conduct physical work, frequently lifting up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Place orders for required inventory using a company-supplied tablet and scanner leveraging Repsly software.
• Service store routes according to the assigned call frequencies, working closely with the District Manager.
• Follow a store visit process including merchandising delivery, filling task forms, and taking pictures to maintain stock levels.
• Accurately implement planograms and schematics to reset cosmetic displays and fixtures as instructed.
• Ensure all resets are completed according to L&R's standards and timelines.
• Install and adjust shelving, hooks, and fixtures to match planogram specs.
• Process customer returns per guidelines and manage invoicing/returns policies.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and company policies.
• Communicate with Store Management and Store Associates during visits.
• Clean and organize display cases and shelves.
• Conduct store surveys and audits with photos to resolve issues.
