Job summary

Universal Beauty Products is seeking a Batching (Compounding) Supervisor to lead the Compounding Department in Glendale Heights, IL. You will oversee daily operations, ensure formulations and batch records are followed, and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement with Compounding Technicians and Pre-Weigh staff.

The role requires hands-on compounding experience, lean mindset, and strong collaboration with Planning, Quality, Warehouse, and Maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in factory/manufacturing with hands-on compounding and pre-weigh exposure.
• High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree/technical training preferred.
• Experience in cosmetics/personal care or other regulated environments preferred.
• 2 years managing production or compounding teams.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, PPE, and SDS handling.
• Experience with lean/continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong math skills for unit conversions and batch sizing.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily compounding and batching to meet schedules and quality.
• Ensure products follow formulations, batch records, SOPs, GMPs and ISO.
• Coach and develop Compounding Technicians and Pre-Weigh staff.
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Warehouse, Packaging, and Maintenance.
• Review batch documentation, traceability, equipment cleanliness, and GMP practices.
• Promote a safe, accountable, and team-oriented environment with PPE adherence.
• Monitor KPIs including safety, Right First Time, schedule attainment, yield, and inventory.
• Support audits, CAPAs, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
