Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Radio Maintenance Technician to service and repair on-site 2-way, dispatch, and communications equipment at our Cortez operations in Nevada. You’ll perform preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring safe, reliable radio networks to support mining operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in troubleshooting, installation and repair of vhf/uhf radio systems and wireless networks.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, subnets and IP addressing.
• Mechanical or electrical trades experience in mining/manufacturing.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
• Electronics background preferred.
• Self-starter with ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Good communication and safe work record.
• Willing to rotate between nights and days.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance activities assigned by the Site Services Supervisor in accordance with safe work procedures and workshop standards.
• Identify and resolve issues associated with breakdown/corrective maintenance in a timely manner.
• Complete all services and other job-related paperwork to a high standard.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
