Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Radio Maintenance Technician at our Cortez operations to maintain and repair 2‑way radios, dispatch and communications equipment on site. You will contribute to reliable on‑site communications, support emergency response, and work within a safety‑driven, high‑performing team.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with vhf/UHF radios, familiarity with TCP/IP networking, and a background in mechanical or electrical trades.

Qualifications

• Experience in troubleshooting, installation and repair of vhf, uhf radio systems, wireless networking to component level preferred.
• Familiarity with basic network concepts (TCP/IP, Subnets, IP) preferred.
• Mechanical or electrical trades experience in a mining or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proven organizational and computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance activities assigned by the Site Services Supervisor in accordance with safe work procedures and workshop standards.
• Identify and resolve issues associated with breakdown/corrective maintenance in a timely manner.
• Complete all services and other job-related paperwork to a high standard.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all 2-way, dispatch and communication equipment on site.
