Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc in New Jersey seeks a Corrugator Utility to safely support manufacturing areas, production, and quality checks while maintaining a clean workspace. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, a desire to learn manufacturing processes, and the ability to operate complex machinery.

Applicants must be able to work 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) with frequent overtime up to 4 hours daily, weekends and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Must have Machine Operator experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience in the last 5 years.
• Ability to operate various manufacturing equipment and follow directions.
• Must possess strong computer skills and apply use of technology in the workplace.
• Comply with all safety regulations and keep a clean, safe work environment.
• Possess excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Ability to navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend and kneel through the entire shift.
• Must be available for 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) with overtime.

Primary job duties will include but not limited to safely perform a wide range of tasks supporting the manufacturing areas, production, conducting quality checks, material set-up, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safe, demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery, and have a desire to advance within the company.

Applicants MUST HAVE:

• Ability to work available position on 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm) with frequent overtime up to 4 hours daily.
• Strong attendance and safety records and be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime as required.

The starting rate is$23.53 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 5 days of paid vacation will be granted after 1 year of service, and 12 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.

Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
