Job summary

Kampack GA Inc is seeking an experienced Corrugator Supervisor to lead a crew in the corrugated manufacturing environment at our McDonough, GA facility. You will ensure quality guidelines and productivity targets are met while maintaining a safe, collaborative work environment.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in corrugated manufacturing, hands-on leadership of 8–20 employees, and a strong safety and operations background.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with high-speed corrugators in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience managing a team of 8 to 20 employees.
• Strong background in safety, operations, and business.
• In-depth process knowledge, results-driven, and strong communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading and directing their crew in the manufacture of corrugated containers following quality guidelines and meeting productivity requirements. The supervisor is an integral part of the process and communicates with other supervisors and departments to ensure we are meeting our customers’ requirements.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a valuable asset to the business by promoting positive working relationships, providing helpful and courteous service, and valuing the contributions of co-workers.Maintain a safe work environment that meets quality, and production levels set by leadership.Communicate with employees, other supervisors, including shift change and with Production SuperintendentAddress key issues and apply critical thinking when faced with problems or barriers to meeting goalsBuild highly effective teams in an environment that encourages and supports employee development and celebrates success; diffuse and resolve conflicts as they ariseWork in a continuous improvement environment and address performance issues to create and support actions to close skill gapsReport quality concerns to Plant Superintendent and the Quality Manager.Communicate with your supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor about machine issues or needed repairsSupport preventive maintenance in the department.Keep leadership informed of problems or situations that may affect the performance of your department.Enforce the corrective action procedures when applicable and conduct meetings with the violating employees.Conduct weekly Production/Safety meetings with crew and enforce safety protocolsContinue to develop your own skills and talent by participating in seminars, workshops, and technical courses,Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, safety program, and good housekeeping.Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs both verbally and using the company’s computer information systems.Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal codes and regulations.Additional duties may be assigned by management.Ability to work additional hours on an occasional basis (which may include Saturdays) as business needs necessitate.Required Skills:At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment.Experience within a corrugated manufacturing environment on high-speed corrugators.Experience managing a team of 8 to 20 employeesMust have a strong background in safety, operations, and business.Experience in-depth process knowledge, be results-driven, and possess strong communication skills.Required Experience:Previous experience in the consumer packaging and printing industry is a plus. Corrugated Paper: 5 years (Preferred)Corrugator Supervisor: 3 years (Preferred)
