Job summary

Kampack Inc. in McDonough, GA is seeking an experienced Corrugator operator responsible for running the single-facer and assisting wet-end and dry-end operations, including setup, operation, cleanup, and proposing improvements.

The shift is 2nd, 3pm–11pm, and the role requires high school diploma, prior corrugated industry experience, and hands-on machine knowledge on the dry end and Doublebacker operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
• At least 6 months on the dry end of the corrugator.
• At least 6 months as a Doublebacker Operator.

Responsibilities

• Check wet end line-ups for correct roll stock.
• Place rolls in mill stands and perform splices and changes.
• Trim paper from rolls when preparing for splices.
• Mark roll size, grade, diameter and footage; insert core plugs.
• Monitor the board quality and adjust as needed.
• Submit maintenance work orders for repairs.
• Clean starch pan, glue roll and singlefacer area after flute changes.
• Assist wet end training for Doublebacker and dry end staff.
• Follow safety and housekeeping policies.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Corrugator operator who will be Responsible for all activities associated with running the single-facer and assisting in wet-end and dry-end operations, including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Check wet end line-ups to verify correct roll stock is received and used.
• Put rolls of paper in mill roll stands ensuring proper size and grade of paper to be run and make splices and paper changes as necessary.
• Trim only the necessary amount of paper from the rolls when preparing for splices.
• Remove roll stock from the machine when necessary and mark the proper size, grade, diameter and lineal footage on the roll and place core plugs in each end of the butt rolls.
• Continuously monitor the board during runs to ensure quality and make adjustments as necessary.
• Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
• Clean starch pan, glue roll and singlefacer area after changing flutes and at the end of the production week.
• Take all paper off of cores of stub rolls.
• Assist in the wet end training of the Doublebacker and dry end personnel.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Qualifications Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
• 6 months experience on the dry end of the corrugator.
• 6 months experience as a Doublebacker Operator.
