Job summary

New Jersey Resources Corp. is seeking a Corrosion Technician II for the Northern Division to design, coordinate, maintain, and monitor cathodic protection systems for distribution mains and services in accordance with company policies and federal regulations.

The role requires CPS knowledge, GIS proficiency, and the ability to work both in the office and in the field. Onsite in Rockaway, NJ, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, or a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in cathodic protection, corrosion control, or related field; natural gas distribution exp. preferred.
• AMPP (NACE) certification or related credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cathodically protected gas distribution mains and services for corrosion control effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and coordinate repair of CP components; diagnose shorts and system deficiencies.
• Assist in design, installation, testing and maintenance of CP equipment (rectifiers, test stations, bonds, anodes).
• Evaluate CP system performance and recommend corrective actions to maintain integrity.
• Prepare and maintain system records, inspections, and regulatory reports.
