New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking a Corrosion Technician II to design, coordinate, maintain, and monitor cathodic protection systems for distribution mains and services. You will ensure system integrity, regulatory compliance, and maintain records and regulatory documentation.

Responsibilities include monitoring protection programs, diagnosing system deficiencies, and coordinating permits.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, or related field.
• 3–5 years in cathodic protection, corrosion control or utility operations.
• AMPP certification or related cathodic protection credentials preferred.
• Knowledge of cathodic protection, corrosion control and pipeline safety regulations.
• Familiarity with natural gas distribution systems and safety requirements.
• Proficiency with GIS/ArcGIS and MS Office; ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and ensure effectiveness of cathodic protection for distribution mains and services.
• Inspect and coordinate repair of cathodic protection components and diagnose faults.
• Assist in design, installation, testing and maintenance of cathodic protection equipment.
• Evaluate system performance and recommend corrective actions for integrity.
• Prepare records, inspections and regulatory reports; support agency submissions.
• Coordinate permits from state, county and municipal agencies as needed.
• Provide field support to engineers and technicians; contribute to safety initiatives.
• Support corrosion control projects and multi-priority tasks as assigned.
