Job summary

TC Energy Corp. seeks an experienced Corrosion Specialist to safeguard pipeline integrity by providing technical support, evaluating cathodic protection and coating systems, and guiding field teams.

You will collaborate with operations, engineering, and external contractors to ensure regulatory compliance and safety at large-diameter, high-pressure facilities. The role requires strong communication, self-motivation and a proactive approach to safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ years of related corrosion control experience.
• AMPP (NACE) Cathodic Protection Technician Certification (CP2).
• Knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192 and related industry standards.
• In-depth experience in corrosion control and related chemistry, electricity, physics, metallurgy and coating principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to operations management and corrosion personnel.
• Troubleshoot cathodic protection and coating systems for large diameter pipelines and facilities.
• Identify and mitigate interference issues.
• Assess and resolve design, operating, and maintenance issues related to corrosion control.
• Perform field testing and support technicians as required.
• Provide OQ training for field personnel performing corrosion control activities.
• Serve as liaison between operations, technical services and 3rd party contractors.
• Manage contractors, consultants, and vendors for corrosion programs, including developing specifications and project scope.
