Job summary

TC Energy Corp. is seeking an experienced Corrosion Specialist in Virginia to monitor, control, and mitigate corrosion on large-diameter, high-pressure pipelines. You will support the corrosion control program, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with operations, technical services, and contractors.

The role requires 6+ years of related experience, CP2 certification, and strong knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192. Hybrid work model available; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 6+ years related experience.
• AMPP (NACE) CP2 Certification or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192 and related industry standards.
• Experience in corrosion control, chemistry, electricity, physics, metallurgy and coating as they pertain to pipeline corrosion control.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to operations management and corrosion personnel.
• Troubleshoot cathodic protection and coating systems for large diameter, high pressure pipelines.
• Identify and mitigate interference issues.
• Assess and resolve design, operating, and maintenance issues related to corrosion control.
• Perform field testing and support corrosion technicians as required.
• Provide OQ training for field personnel who perform corrosion control activities.
• Serve as liaison between operations, technical services and 3rd party contractors.
• Develop specifications and project scope documents for corrosion surveys and CP installations.
• Lead corrosion capital and maintenance project identification and initiation.
