Job summary

Corrpro Companies is seeking a Corrosion Engineer with AMPP CP certification to join our corrosion engineering, cathodic protection and monitoring team. You will work on DoD and utility projects, perform design and evaluation of CP systems, and monitor construction activities on site.

The role requires travel up to 40% of the time, including overnight trips as needed. A BS in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Materials) is preferred, with EIT and AMPP CP Technician Certification preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Materials preferred).
• EIT, preferred.
• AMPP CP Technician Certification preferred.
• 3 years corrosion engineering experience.
• DoD/military project experience helpful.
• Strong team and internal customer service skills required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 40% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and evaluation of cathodic protection systems and other corrosion control systems on DoD systems.
• Conduct field tests to gather data for evaluation purposes.
• Monitor construction activities for adherence to design specifications.
• Complete post-installation surveys, interference testing and energize rectifier systems.
• Organize and reduce data, prepare charts and tables.
• Assemble field data for final client reports and recommendations.
• Diagnose system difficulties and suggest remedies.
• Assist senior staff in surveys, design reports and job reports.

Corrpro is a corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for the protection and preservation of infrastructure. Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services major oil companies, municipal water/sewer and gas utilities. Corrpro is a subsidiary of Azuria Water Solutions.

• Conduct various field tests to gather data for evaluation purposes
• Monitor construction activities for adherence to design specifications
• Conduct post-installation surveys, complete interference testing and energize rectifier systems
• Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables
• Assemble field data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations
• Diagnose and recommend remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations
• Recommend modifications to senior staff for approval
• Assist senior staff in the preparation of survey and design reports and final job reports
• Assist senior staff in analyzing requirements and the design of appropriate corrosion control measures
• Provide maintenance of field test equipment, ensure good operation condition and render minor repairs
