In this role, the Corrosion Coordinator/EIT is required to have a basic understanding of corrosion mechanisms and materials science and will support projects in the office and in the field. Office work consists of preparing for field work, compiling field data, as well as writing reports and technical memorandums. Field work consists of performing assessments on pipelines and concrete structures associated with the water, wastewater, and transportation industries. Field work includes entering confined spaces, working near traffic, and working in wastewater structures. The Corrosion Coordinator/EIT will also be expected to frequently travel nationally for field work. This role will receive classroom and hands‑on training to be able to perform field work properly and in a safe manner and support the following duties:

Conduct analyses (in the field and in office) to develop condition assessment related design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, reports, and project specifications).

Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.

Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.

Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projects.

Work with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed.

Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in project execution within the Oil and Gas, Water, and/or wastewater Markets.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard GIS or AutoCAD programs.
  • Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

An ability to work both independently on small projects and in a team setting on larger projects
