CWI Works is recruiting for a Correspondence Writer position through the Forest Service Experienced Services (FS-ACES) Program. This grant-administered program provides experienced professionals with an opportunity to support the mission and operations of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Forest Service.
Role and Responsibilities
A Correspondence Writer is responsible for receiving, organizing, processing, and responding to all forms of written correspondence, including electronic letters and correspondence received through the mail. The skills required pertain to the systematic management of all official communications to ensure they are received, acted upon, and stored effectively, supporting both internal operations and external relationships. The Secretary has required a timely response to controlled correspondence, and the agency needs to prioritize these responses to ensure they are handled in a timely manner.

Qualifications
Successful candidates must be 55 years of age or older and eligible to work in the United States. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in a related field. Candidates should have demonstrated experience drafting and managing professional correspondence, organizing and tracking official communications, maintaining accurate records, and routing correspondence for appropriate review and signature. Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information are essential. Experience working with correspondence tracking systems and government or administrative applications is highly desirable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
Part-Time position working up to 30 hours per week @ $80.00.
