Job summary

RCCI is seeking a Supervisory Corrections Officer to oversee staff and inmate activities within a correctional facility, ensuring safety, security, and compliance with state and federal laws. Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma, trade school, or equivalent level of education.
• Experience: Five (5) years in public safety, law enforcement, corrections, or military.
• Knowledge: corrections practices, criminal justice system, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, assign work, evaluate performance, train employees, enforce policies, ensure safety.
• Perform duties of Shift Supervisor in absence of supervisor.
• Oversee inmate movement, counts, transport, and adherence to procedures.
• Monitor emergencies and unusual situations; ensure security and control of inmates.
• Conduct roll calls, distribute materials, and coordinate discussions.
• Carry out security checks, monitor inmate activity, and prevent breaches.
