Job summary

Wisconsin Department of Corrections is seeking a Corrections Sentencing Associate to manage inmate admissions, releases, and related legal processes at the Dodge Correctional Institution reception center. The role requires interpreting court documents, computing complex sentence structures, and coordinating with external agencies.

The position may involve remote work up to one day per week after probation and requires compliance with state statutes and the administrative code.

Qualifications

• Performing mathematical calculations for work-related programs (e.g. budget prep, offender sentence computations).
• Using computer programs (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Google Sheets, Docs) to create, update and maintain documents and databases.
• Maintaining, analyzing and auditing files according to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting and applying policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
• Working with legal documents such as judgments of conviction, revocation orders, warrants, etc.
• Corresponding with external stakeholders (law enforcement, legal aid societies, attorneys, etc).
