Job summary

The State of North Carolina's Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Security Auditor to join the Division of Institutions. You will support the High-Risk Transport Committee, review offender behavior and determine if specialized transport is needed, and investigate security lapses.

You will also advise on security equipment and update policies, while collaborating with vendors and internal teams. Ideal candidates have supervisory experience in corrections, knowledge of facility operations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of supervisory or administrative experience in corrections.
• Must be eligible for certification by the NC Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support the High-Risk Transport Committee reviews and determinations.
• Conduct unannounced security reviews and lead investigations into security lapses or failures.
• Advise on security systems, equipment purchases, and liaise with vendors.
• Develop and update security operation policies and participate in committees.
