Allied Universal is seeking a Correctional Security Guard - Unarmed in Columbia, SC. The role focuses on serving clients, maintaining a stabilizing presence, and supporting access control at the site.

You will handle security procedures and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service. As an unarmed guard, you must meet minimum age and education requirements, comply with background checks and drug testing, and be prepared for licensing where required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing depends on state/local laws and regulations; may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; vary by client site.
