Allied Universal is seeking a Detention Security Guard – Full Time in Columbia, SC. You will serve and safeguard clients in a correctional government location, conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service.

Position requires a valid driver’s license, high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen as applicable by law.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report incidents per post orders.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate observations and requests for assistance to Allied Universal supervision.

As a Detention Security Guard – Full Time in Columbia, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government correctional location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Wed06:00 PM – 06:00 AM

Thur06:00 PM – 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a correctional government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Communicate observations, concerns, and requests for assistance to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal supervision in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
