Job summary

Staff Today Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse for Capron, Virginia. The role supports care in a correctional setting, with a day shift from 7:00am to 7:30pm and competitive local pay.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Virginia RN license in good standing.
• 1+ year of RN experience within the last 3 years.
• Copy of Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the licensing board or agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications (e.g., BLS) and immunization records, TB test.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
