Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract–full time position in Crittenden, Kentucky. The role involves working in a correctional facility, providing routine and emergency health care in collaboration with clinicians and staff.

The ideal candidate holds a current RN license for the state, is experienced in correctional health care, and meets federal/state requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure well-being of incarcerated population.
• The Correctional RN provides routine and emergency care within a correctional facility setting.

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population. The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population. This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.
