Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Troy, North Carolina. The role involves collaboration with healthcare staff and correctional officers to deliver routine and emergency care within a correctional facility.

The successful candidate will hold an active RN license for the state, have or be willing to obtain CPR, and meet all federal, state, and local requirements. This is a 36-hour workweek with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with otherhealthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensurethe well-being of the incarcerated population.The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specificchallenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing careto their patient population. This careincludes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facilitysetting.
