Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Columbus, GA. The RN will provide routine and emergency nursing care within a correctional facility, collaborating with healthcare professionals, correctional staff and administrators to ensure patient well‑being.

Requirements include an active RN license in the practicing state, at least 18 years old, and preferred experience in correctional health care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state where the nurse practices.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with otherhealthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensurethe well-being of the incarcerated population.The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specificchallenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing careto their patient population. This careincludes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facilitysetting.
