Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) for travel assignments in Alden, NY. The nurse will collaborate with healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to deliver routine and emergency care in a correctional facility.

Requirements include an active RN license in the practicing state, at least 1 year in correctional health care preferred, CPR, TB testing, and eligibility to work in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state where the nurse practices.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• CPR certification, TB Questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with otherhealthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensurethe well-being of the incarcerated population.The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specificchallenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing careto their patient population. This careincludes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facilitysetting.
