Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in behavioral sciences or related field preferred.
• State requirements for employment may apply.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Ability to handle physical and mental stress.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work up to 16 hours in a rolling 24-hour period.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor inmates in living, recreation, dining, and visitation areas.
• Coordinate inmate movement, conduct counts, and respond to emergencies.
• Ensure program activities stay safe and supervise labor crews.
• Conduct shakedowns for contraband and confiscate prohibited items as per policies.
• Keep daily inmate logs and disciplinary reports.
• Provide prompt assistance to injured or traumatized individuals.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to keep facilities clean.
