Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must obtain Certificate of Corrections Officer within six months.
• Must pass oral board, background check, driving record check, polygraph, and psychological examinations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily operations and care and control of inmates in the Jail, including booking procedures, disturbance control, fire control, suicide prevention, and inmate medical needs.
• Must be able to work in a 24/7 corrections facility, with rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays; physical exertion may be required.
