Job summary

Staff Today Inc. seeks a diligent Medical Assistant in Walla Walla, WA. The role supports physicians with patient care, records vital signs, and prepares patients for exams in a correctional healthcare setting.

• Current, valid Washington license/cert in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent MA experience within the last 3 years.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs and histories.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection, injections, wound care, and medications administration as permitted.
• Schedule appointments and maintain patient records.
• Educate patients on medications and follow-up care instructions.
• Maintain clean, stocked examination rooms and proper safety protocols.
• Document accurately and timely in patient records; follow infection control and facility policies.
