Job summary

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program and Texas license/permit.
• No experience required.
• Current BLS-HP required.
• Recent graduates with temporary permits may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to assigned patients.
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care.
• Performs admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Review and modify the care plan under supervision.
• Observe and document signs, symptoms, and patient status.
• Deliver nursing interventions per medical plan of care.
• Notify staff of changes in patient status and participate in multidisciplinary plans.
• Follow physician orders and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Safely administer medications and treatments.
• Assemble equipment for procedures and assist with treatments.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
