Job summary

Staff Today Inc. seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Capron, VA to provide direct patient care in a correctional healthcare setting. The role requires an active VA LPN license and at least 1 year of recent LPN experience.

You will administer meds, monitor vitals, assist with assessments, and document care in the EMR. Benefits include referral rewards, CEUs, health/dental/vision, a 401(k), travel stipends, and more. Day shift from 7:00am to 7:30pm.

Qualifications

• Current, valid VA LPN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1+ year of LPN experience within the last 3 years.
• Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, immunizations, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a RN or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes.
• Assist with assessments and care plans.
• Document care in EMR accurately.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and treatment plans.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
