Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Corrections LPN to provide both general and emergency nursing care at a Corrections Facility in Norfolk, VA. This contract full-time role supports adult and juvenile inmates while adhering to security protocols.

Active LPN/LVN license, at least 1 year in corrections, CPR certification, and health clearance are required. Compensation is $38 per hour with weekly pay and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN license in the practicing state.
• Minimum one year of corrections experience.
• CPR certification and health clearance as required.
• TB test/PPD or chest x-ray as applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and emergency nursing care in the Corrections Facility.
• Maintain facility security standards while delivering care.
• Work with adults and juveniles in custody.

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse/ LicensedVocational Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and juvenilesin custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in theMedical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintainingfacility security standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possesses a current LPN/LVN license in state practicing
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections required
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
