Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Food Service Supervisor at Farmington Correctional Facility to oversee inmate workers in a kitchen setting, ensuring meals align with production plans and safety standards. You will train staff, assign tasks, and maintain sanitation and security in line with regulations.

The role requires eligibility for a correctional facility security clearance and a focus on consistent, safe food preparation, portion control, and adherence to Aramark recipes.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and team members.
• Must obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Good judgment and tact; able to follow safety policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain preparation and production guidelines per Aramark standards.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance with guidelines.
• Participate in preparation and serving of meals.
• Print and distribute recipes.
• Direct inmates in using Aramark recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and accommodate dietary requirements.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies; ensure storage areas are locked.
• Ensure kitchen tools and equipment are secured and accounted for.
• Determine work procedures, schedules and sanitation plans.
• Assist in inventory, receiving and storage of food; requisition orders as needed.
• Participate in meal production and postproduction processes; storage and assembly.
• Follow HACCP food handling policies and storage procedures.
