Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Corrections Oversight Worker to supervise inmates during meal preparation and tray assembly in a correctional food service environment. You will train staff, coordinate work, and ensure sanitation, safety, and adherence to all Aramark guidelines.

You will review production logs, maintain portions and dietary requirements, and ensure timely meal service while supporting security procedures. Prior experience with inmate supervision is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow basic safety procedures and policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain production guidelines and logs according to Aramark standards.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Participate in preparation and serving of meals.
• Print and distribute recipes.
• Direct inmates in using Aramark recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and respect dietary requirements.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies; keep storage areas locked.
• Ensure kitchen tools and equipment are secured and returned.
• Determine work procedures, schedules, and sanitation plans; ensure adherence.
• Assist in inventory, proper receiving, and storage of food items; requisition orders as needed.
• Participate in the 5 P's: Participation, Pulls, Production, Portion Control, Postproduction.
• Follow Aramark's SOPs for food handling and HACCP procedures.
