Job summary

Trinity Services Group in North Carolina is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmate labor and a kitchen team inside the Pamlico County Jail. You will prepare, assist, and instruct on planned menus, use food preparation utensils, and ensure food is cooked and served safely and on time.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, is dependable, and can work as part of a team or independently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• Prior institutional food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and/or kitchen staff during food prep and service shifts.
• Prepare and assist with food according to menus and recipes; train others as needed.
• Ensure proper storage and sanitation of all food and equipment.
• Serve meals on time according to schedules and policies.
• Use utensils and equipment to prepare and portion food according to recipes and nutritional needs.
• Follow all food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area.
