Job summary

Klamath County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Corrections Cook to prepare and portion meals for Adults in Custody within the county’s detention facility. You will work under sanitary conditions, follow approved menus, and help manage food service operations.

The role requires knowledge of sanitation, dietary needs, and the ability to supervise inmate workers while maintaining security and reporting. This is a correctional facility position with shift-based duties and adherence to jail safety

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation and infection control methods for food preparation.
• Knowledge of portion control and dietary needs.
• Ability to prepare meals according to approved menus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for Adults in Custody (AICs) in the detention facility.
• Supervise inmate workers and assign tasks.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and safety procedures per policy.
• Complete shift reports and communicate incidents to supervisors.
