Summit in Laurinburg, NC is seeking an experienced cook to join a motivated kitchen team in the Scotland County Jail. You will contribute to a fast-paced, high-volume environment while preparing and presenting high-quality meals for inmates.

Responsibilities include quality control, portioning, and safe food handling. This full-time onsite role offers benefits and a competitive compensation of $15/hour.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of culinary experience in a high-volume, scratch-cooking environment.
• Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and differentiate food items.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Nice-to-have: Food handlers’ certification.
