Job summary

State of New Hampshire, Department of Corrections, Division of Administration - Logistics, is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Berlin, NH. Schedule 6:30am-2:30pm, with Saturdays and Sundays off. Pay ranges from $25.40 to $34.14 per hour, with a biweekly $60 hazardous duty pay. Requires security clearance and NH Gas Fitter license.

Responsibilities include supervising inmate workers, performing HVAC maintenance and repairs, and ensuring safe operation within a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 5 years of education and experience after high school.
• Education and experience must be in the operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical building equipment, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide security, supervision, and training for inmate workers to complete tasks.
• Supervise, schedule, train and assist staff ensuring continuous maintenance and repairs of equipment.
• Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains HVAC systems and related equipment for the facility.
• Maintain knowledge of industrial chillers and cooling towers; sequence of operation and maintenance.
