Job summary

The City of Henderson seeks a Correctional Support Services Administrator in the Police Department to oversee inmate health and wellness programs in the detention facility. You will coordinate healthcare provider contracts, ensure compliance with NCCHC/ACA standards, and liaise between the facility, the City, and contracted providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Nursing, Social Work or related field.
• At least 5 years in contract management or compliance, preferably in healthcare or correctional environment.
• Equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered.
• Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check.
• Must obtain NCIC/NCJIS certification upon hire/transfer and recertify as needed.
• Desirable: Jail Commander with medical/mental health oversight experience.
• Desirable: CCHP certification.
• Desirable: Master’s Degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Plans, administers, and oversees inmate health and wellness programs within a detention or correctional facility; coordinates healthcare service provider contracts; ensures compliance with applicable standards and regulations; serves as liaison between the facility, the City of Henderson and contracted providers.
• Acts as subject matter expert in detention medical standards and coordinates between corrections leadership and contracted medical provider.
